Fijian Drua women player Merewai Cumu continues her rehabilitation in Australia after she was injured in the game against the Melbourne Rebels on Saturday.
Coach Mosese Rauluni says Cumu is getting the best care before she returns to Fiji with General Manager High Performance Unit for Women, Alana Thomas.
“She’s responding well to the treatment and right now her safety and care is paramount for us so she is going to get all the help she needs.”
Rauluni said that training so far this week has been on righting the few things that didn’t go too well for the team last week and is calling on the Suva public to come in numbers to support the women against the Western Force before the Fijan Drua men take on the Hurricanes.
“It’s a short turnaround week because the game is on Friday so the past two days, we’ve spent time working on tackles and the other areas we were lacking in.
“Come out and support the Fijian Drua women, Suva. They need your support as they take on the Western Force.”
The game will kick off at 4.35pm at the HFC Stadium in Suva before the Hurricanes go to battle against the Fijian Drua.
