Nadir Pioneers FNU Agriculture Masters Despite Challenges

Twenty-six-year-old Suhayl Nadir recently achieved a milestone by becoming the first student to complete the Masters program in Agri-Business at Fiji National University’s College of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (CAFF).

Despite facing challenges, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on his research and the recent passing of his mother, Nadir persevered and realised his academic aspirations.

“Today is my lucky day; this is a memorable moment for me to be here and graduating as a Masters student,” Nadir said.

He credits his success to the support of his family and mentors, particularly Dr. Salesh Kumar.

“Despite all these challenges, the support from my family fueled my determination to achieve my dream!

“I want to encourage aspiring agriculturalists and others to choose FNU for its specialised programmes and expertise, I would recommend FNU’s Koronivia campus as it is the best and the heart of Agriculture in Fiji.”
