A high court in Suva issued a bench warrant and a permanent domestic violence restraining order against a man who was convicted of attempted murder of his partner in December 2021.
Sanjay Mistry was not in court on the hearing date of December 7 and the sentencing on February 2 this year.
Justice Rajasinghe sentenced him to life imprisonment, and he is not eligible for parole until he has served seven years.
