People’s Alliance Refers Complaint Against Senior Minister to Party Disciplinary Committee

People’s Alliance Party, the major part in the Fiji Coalition Government, have referred to their Legal and National Disciplinary Sub Committee a complaint against a senior minister.

In an interview today, PA General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa confirmed that the complaint was received from one of their own, but did not divulge details.

“Because of that we were obliged to conduct this. We are just following our party constitution.”

A party statement released yesterday said that a complaint was received on the alleged conduct of a Senior Honourable Member and was referred to the sub committee as provided for under Section 27.5 of the party’s constitution.
