A 56-year-old man lost his life in a recent road accident near the Viseisei bypass in Lautoka.
He had been fishing on a bridge when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man.
The victim was taken to Lautoka Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The 63-year-old driver is currently hospitalised while investigations are ongoing.
The road death toll for this year has reached 66, up from the 35 recorded during the same period last year.
