Fijian Election Donates 2022 Elections Stationery and Equipment to Education Ministry

The Fijian Elections Office today donated stationeries and equipment, which were previously used during the 2022 Elections, to the Ministry of Education.

The donation consisted of 224 laptops, 91 printers, 558 toner, and drum sets, 400 plastic containers, 1,104 reams of A4 paper, 176 reams of A3 paper, and various other essential school supplies, including lanyards, calculators, blackboard chalk, dusters, hand gloves, and masks.

Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa highlighted the importance of education as a significant factor in improving living standards and helping children make informed decisions.

“In order for us to ensure that our children receive quality education, it is important that we all actively participate in their learning,” Mataiciwa said.

This donation comes at a crucial time as students prepare for external exams scheduled between the end of October and early December this year. Mataiciwa offered words of encouragement to the students, saying, “To the children, I encourage you to use your time wisely, learn heartily, don’t be afraid to ask questions and approach each exam paper with a clear mind. Trust in your preparation, believe in your capabilities, remain calm, and let your hard work shine through.”

The handover ceremony took place at the FEO Warehouse on Bulei St in Laucala Beach.
