$7 Million Dollars Pay Out for Unit Trust of Fiji Shareholders

60,000 shareholders in the Unit Trust of Fiji will this morning share a total earnings of $7 million dollars generated for the second 6 months of 2024.

Announcing the dividend payout UTOF Chairperson Lavinia Kaumaitotoya said this continues to portray the positive outlook that investors have in Fiji.

“The direct recipients are 60,000 account holders, which includes our young investors under 18 years, members of our Employee Investment Scheme program, and many more families, women’s groups, associations, landowning units and corporates.”

Kaumaitotoya said the funds were from two main funds at UTOF.

“The return on investment is for our two main funds, the Income & Growth Fund (IGF) and the Income Fund. For IGF, the dividend rate of 3.75 cents per unit has been paid out. This equates to approximately $6.4 million in tax-free dividends distributed to our investors.”

“For the Income Fund (IF) we have declared and paid out this morning an annualized dividend rate of 3%, resulting in a payout of more than $560,000. This is an increase from the ADR of 2.75% for the same period in 2023.”
