Fiji Elections 2022: FijiFirst candidate charged

FijiFirst Candidate Alexander O’Connor has been charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) for an election campaign breach and was produced at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon. Fiji Elections 2022: Education policy not based on race: Rabuka

People’s Alliance Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says its tertiary education policy which entails the removal of the current schemes and consequently, the cancellation of student loan debts will not be based on race but apply to all students equally. Unlike the FijiFirst Government, he says a PA government will remove the Tertiary Loans Scheme  (TELS) and National Stoppers scholarships, and does not intend to impose massive financial burdens on young people. Fiji Elections 2022: Pre-poll starts today

Fiji’s Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem is appealing to voters in designated prepoll areas to turn up in numbers, as early voting starts today in 149 venues across the country.
