Fiji's Ministry of Health announced 25 new deaths and 485 new coronavirus infections including 46 new cases reported in the eastern division, all on Kadavu stemming from the index case from Rakiraki Village in Yale four days ago, on 17 August. All of the 46 active cases who are contacts of Kadavu's index case, 45 from the same village and one from Naioti village - have been placed in isolation. Of the other 439 new infections, 188 are from the central division and 251 are from the West. Having accounted for 1,080 new recoveries, Fiji now has 20,591 active cases, of which 12,050 are in the central division, 8,494 in the western division, one in the North and 46 in the eastern division.
