Former Fiji residents raise funds for 300 families

Former Fiji resident and radio broadcaster Dharmendra Shyam has raised $15,000 for families in Fiji hit hard by the second wave of COVID-19. Shyam with many other former residents and corporate partners organized a charity event in New Zealand last week. The event was called “Ek Shaam Fiji Ke Naam” which means “An Evening for Fiji” with former Fiji residents put up a music concert at the A1 Event centre in Great South Road Papatoetoe. Cotter names squad for All Blacks Test, with Botia to lead

Flying Fijians head coach Vern Cotter has named a powerful 33-member squad for their historic 2-Test series against the All-Blacks next month. The squad will be captained by France-based center Levani Botia. Semi Radradra was not selected due to club commitments. His side the Bristol Bears are playing in the English Premiership Semi-finals and due to this Radradra will not be able to clear the 14-day mandatory quarantine period in New Zealand in time for the first Test match.
